Good to know

Is a Conversion Right for You?

A walk-in shower is easier and safer to step into, which is why many homeowners convert as they plan to stay in their home long term. If your home has only one bathroom, keeping a tub somewhere can matter for families with young children and for resale — we will talk it through with you.

Most conversions take about 1 to 2 weeks of work. See also the full bathroom remodel cost guide.

FAQ

Cost Questions

How much does it cost to convert a tub to a shower in Northeast Ohio?

Most tub-to-shower conversions we do fall toward the lower end of our $8,000–$30,000 bathroom range. A bench, grab bars, a curbless entry or updating the rest of the bathroom moves the price up. You get a written quote after a free in-home estimate.

How long does a tub-to-shower conversion take?

Most conversions take about 1 to 2 weeks of work.

Can you make the shower curbless or low-entry?

Often yes. A curbless or low-curb entry may require reworking the floor and adding a linear drain, which we check at the estimate.

Will removing my only tub hurt resale?

It can matter in a home with only one bathroom, especially for families with young children. If you have another tub in the house, it usually does not. We will talk it through with you.

Can you add grab bars and a bench?

Yes. We add blocking in the walls so grab bars are solid, and build tiled benches or install fold-down seats.
